1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ServEasy (serveasy.co.in), operated from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. By creating an account or using our platform as a customer or Provider, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use ServEasy.
2. What ServEasy Is
ServEasy is an online marketplace that connects customers with independent, third-party local service professionals ("Providers") across categories including AC repair, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, interior design, cooking, and home food delivery. ServEasy is a technology platform and intermediary only — we are not an employer, agent, or partner of any Provider, and we do not ourselves perform the services listed on the platform. Providers are independent professionals or businesses solely responsible for the services they deliver.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law to use ServEasy.
- You agree to provide accurate, current information when registering and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at admin@serveasy.co.in if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One person or business should not maintain more than one account except where explicitly permitted (e.g. a Provider account and a separate customer account).
4. For Customers
- You are responsible for providing accurate booking details (address, pincode, service requirements) so the assigned Provider can complete the job.
- Prices shown are set or estimated by Providers and may vary based on the actual scope of work; any changes should be agreed between you and the Provider before work proceeds.
- You agree to treat Providers respectfully and to pay for services rendered through the supported payment methods (Razorpay, UPI, or Cash/COD where offered).
- If you are unsatisfied with a service, you may leave a review/rating or raise a complaint through the platform — see Section 8.
5. For Providers
- You confirm that you hold any licenses, permits, insurance, or qualifications required by law to offer the services you list, and that the information and documents you submit for verification are genuine.
- Approval to join ServEasy is at our discretion, and we may verify your identity, category, and service area before activating your profile.
- Depending on the subscription plan you choose, additional features (extra categories, boosted visibility, extra media slots) may be offered for a fee, as shown in Subscription Plans on the platform.
- You are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the services you provide, and for your conduct with customers. ServEasy does not supervise or control how you perform a job.
- Repeated no-shows, verified complaints, or policy violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform, as described in our complaint and strike policy shown in your Provider dashboard.
- Payouts for completed bookings are credited to your ServEasy wallet and can be withdrawn to your registered bank account/UPI ID, subject to any applicable platform fee disclosed at the time of booking or withdrawal.
6. Bookings and Cancellations
A booking is a request submitted by a customer and accepted by a Provider. Either party may cancel a booking before it is accepted or before work begins, subject to any cancellation terms shown at the time of booking. Repeated cancellations or no-shows by either party may affect future access to the platform, as described in Section 5.
7. Payments, Wallet, and Refunds
- Payments are processed through Razorpay, UPI, or Cash/COD, depending on what is enabled for a given booking or category.
- Any platform/service fee applicable to a booking will be shown before you confirm payment.
- Refunds, where applicable (e.g. a cancelled or undelivered service), are processed back to the original payment method or as ServEasy wallet credit, at our discretion, within a reasonable time.
- Provider subscription fees and boost/media purchase fees, once paid, are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated on the platform at the time of purchase.
8. Reviews, Ratings, and Complaints
Customers may rate and review completed bookings, and both customers and Providers may raise a complaint through the platform if something goes wrong. We review complaints in good faith and may take action including warnings, account suspension, or removal, but we do not guarantee any specific outcome, refund, or compensation as a result of a complaint, except where required by law.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false information, impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or business
- Use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose
- Circumvent ServEasy's booking or payment system to avoid applicable fees (e.g. arranging payment outside the platform to avoid platform charges, where fees apply)
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any customer, Provider, or ServEasy staff
- Attempt to interfere with, hack, or disrupt the platform's normal operation
Violation of these Terms may result in suspension or termination of your account.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: ServEasy provides the platform "as is" and does not guarantee that Providers will be available, that services will meet your expectations, or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. Because Providers are independent third parties and not our employees or agents, ServEasy is not liable for the acts, omissions, quality, timeliness, or safety of any service performed by a Provider, or for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from a booking between a customer and a Provider. Our role is limited to operating the platform that connects the two parties. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold ServEasy harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your interaction with another user (customer or Provider).
12. Intellectual Property
The ServEasy name, logo, website design, and platform content (excluding content you or Providers upload, such as portfolio photos) are the property of ServEasy and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission.
13. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in conduct harmful to other users or the platform. You may also close your account at any time by contacting us. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Limitation of Liability and Indemnification) will continue to apply.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of ServEasy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.
